An open-air marriage in the gardens of a beautifully renovated farmhouse in the West Flemish polder region. The ceremony as well as the reception and the evening party were organised at the same location, which also provided accommodation for some of the guests. A Bohemian theme was chosen for the decoration: wild flowers and seating at long tables, all decorated with a variety of different plates, glasses and cutlery. The marquises over the dinner tables provided some protection against the bright sun. We had taken into account a possible rain shower, but who could have predicted that the temperatures would be so high – nobody ever dreamt it. The evening party with a spit-roasted piglet finalized the Bohemian theme.
